Rain and cups of tea. Bach’s cello suites, my notebook and pens. A great, eye-opening breakfast with David Chen, and a rethink of my whole perspective on life. Today my world yawns in all kinds of astonishing ways. Nothing is certain. It is exciting and it is free. I owe the world a thank you, a reply to its “you’re welcome.”
Looking over the precipice, into the depths of others’ potential–theirs, mine too–I see a reflection of the man I am, not the one I should be. David and I killed the latter over pancakes. He’ll go unmourned.
